The EWI ASIST Scholarship is available to adults in a caregiving role who are facing economic, social, or physical challenges, and looking to improve their situation through educational opportunities.
EWI Albuquerque offers 2 ASIST Scholarships annually for $1,000.00 each. Scholarships are open to students at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque and to any trade school student in the Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance and Valencia Counties.
Students first apply and compete at the local chapter level.
Chapter-level winners are submitted to the corporate level for the opportunity to be selected for additional funds.
Applications OPEN January 1st, 2025!
Deadline for applications is March 31st, 2025.

Additional Scholarship Opportunity
UNM
EWI Albuquerque funds 1 annual scholarship for $1,000.00 each for any graduate student at the University of New Mexico (UNM).
For details and to apply, please contact the UNM Financial Aid office.
Maliaq Kairaiuak is a Yupik and Athabaskan, single mother from Alaska. She is a Graduate from UNM's Film & Digital Media Arts program. As a filmmaker she hopes to create a platform dedicated to underrepresented groups, especially highlighting indigenous representation. She hopes to extend that platform to indigenous youth through education.

Alexandria Araoz is a mom to two beautiful daughters, a part-time student at Central NM Community College, and a full-time Better Business Bureau employee. Allie’s goal is to obtain a degree in Business Administration. By going back to school, she is showing her daughters how to work hard for a brighter future.
